Kamou /大地の芸術祭/Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial
It’s okay. I’ll remember you.
Kamou is a very small village in Niigata, Japan .
In winter, snow accumulates to the second floor of a building, and people are isolated in winter. In summer the scenery is very beautiful. Many young people left Kamou and headed for the city. Most of the people I met when I arrived here were old people. And most of the wooden houses were empty and abandoned. The residents grieved about the disappearing things. People who have left, homes that are forgotten and fall down.
I wanted to remember and memorize things that were forgotten.
